I began to edit the film together, and managed to edit all of the scenes, colour correct them and begin to add titles. There was a big problem with the software however, something which since I have experienced repeatedly with Premiere in two projects.
“A SERIOUS ERROR HAS OCCURRED WITH PREMIER, PREMIERE WILL NEED TO SHUT DOWN”
This was a huge problem, one which at one point was happening every 5 minutes. Fortunately by taking the right steps with this issue you can revive your work as the software saves it, however you may lose some previous steps within your work but this is better than losing everything.
The editing process began with having to figure out how I could transform a couple of hundred takes into a single clip, this is where I learnt nesting. Without nesting I would have massively struggled at this point.
After each time I had nested a scene, I exported it so that I could reimport it and edit it from there, making the editing process faster and allowing the clip to render quicker due to not having so many mini files within the clip. This process proved beyond vital at a later stage.
