Marianne asked me to give a short presentation on what I’d been doing at the conference to the rest of the 2nd year students at the end of our year meeting. I was more nervous about this than presenting to the delegates in London. I did an 11 slide presentation to the group which lasted approximately 10 minutes and they asked me questions about it.
The groups reaction to finding about the event and what it was all about was really positive, they showed an interest in wanting to have something similar happen at Leeds College Of Art and were interested in the concept of a more open art college system as this opens up so many networking opportunities that without an event like that may never be found.
My confidence in doing presentations massively improved after doing two to big groups so close together, i still speak too fast and thats something i need to work on, along with making points clearer but overall i was proud of how i did considering presenting tends to make me become a shaking, bright red faced petrified rambling mess.
