The stay up for 24 hours concept was timed from 4 until 4, which when you consider that we set off from Leeds at 9am and didn’t make it back to leeds until around 10/11pm the next day was actually closer to 38 hours solid without any sleep. Which was truly one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, the energy drinks and sugary food did help, i don’t think i would have lasted through the night without my 2 and a half litres of energy drinks.
There was a lot of food…. so much food. We had primary lunch, secondary lunch, dinner, supper, 3am pizza, snacks throughout, breakfast and lunch again.
People were so exhausted that they began to fall asleep everywhere, you basically had to sneak around the building just in case someone was sleeping around the corner so that you wouldn’t wake them up.
It was a really fun atmosphere throughout the night, people were wandering around space blankets and making clothes out of them, everyone was excited by what each group was creating especially the massive foil tent team, which was the 3D part of our original group.
