Further Eating Disorder Research

– There is an eating disorder course at Leeds Beckett University which aims to teach people how to support individuals who have suffered with mental health difficulties that involve eating disorders
-“Scizophrenia, psychosis and depression are known to occur more frequently in urban areas”
– “A study found the instance of bulimia nervosa was almost 2 and a half times higher in urbanised areas”- but the study did not find this result for anorexia nervosa

a 2011 daily mail report claims people in cities have a 39% higher chance of risk of depression and bipolar disorder and a 21% higher chance of anxiety disorders.
Young women growing up in cities are 5 times more likely to suffer from the eating disorder bulimia according to a 10 year study in the British Journal of psychiatry
