I wanted the name to be representative of the cause behind the website and still be good enough to stick in peoples heads. I didn’t realise just how difficult choosing something like that would be, its difficult not to make something cheesy that portrays the right message behind what I want to do. Initially I thought Rise could be a good name for this working with the artists ambition and the lifting of someone from their own darkness, however after researching the name I found that this was already the name for a domestic abuse foundation in Sussex.
after coming up with various other names that just didn’t work for me, I came up with Every Cloud, derived from the phrase ‘Every cloud has a silver lining’ aimed at promoting a more positive outlook and a sense of hope which is what many mental illnesses take away from people. I felt it also works for artists who are starting to make a name for themselves, who can feel like they aren’t making as much progress as they wanted but are now beginning to find a new way in which to present themselves to the public. I feel it works on numerous levels and hence why I intend to use this name.
